Issue: I am sponsored by my family member to permanently reside in Vietnam; however, I do not know what advantages I will have when I may put card into hand? Moreover, which notes do I need to bear in mind about the procedures of applying to get a permanent residence card in Vietnam?

List of benefits if you are a holder of a permanent residence card:
Firstly[1], you are allowed to enter and exit Vietnam in despite of none visa.
Secondly, you do not mind extending the time living as the validity temporary residence card.
Thirdly[2], you can invite your family such as parents, spouses, or children to enter into Vietnam through sponsoring.
Fourth[3], you have individual dignity, property, life, lawful rights be protected by Vietnam’s Law while you are in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam’s territory during your time staying.
However, you must take notes that:
– Complying with Vietnam’s Law, in some cases you violate the Criminal Law, explusion shall be imposed.
– When you return to your country, or leave Vietnam to permanently reside in another country, you must return the permanent residence card to the immigration unit at the border checkpoint.
